- Request for reimbursement for the Dealing with Death
and Dying Workshop costs

Angela motions that Debbie Murray is to be reimbursed for the respective
amounts of $14.80 and $16.80 from the LAIRD operating budget to cover the room
rental costs and lunch expenses. Rhonda Brans Seconds this motion.
- Doreen will also be putting in a request for financial
reimbursement to cover her photocopying costs.
- Discussion on having LAIRD meetings in one location.
Debbie Murray motions that LAIRD meetings be held at one location to avoid
confusion. The new Relax Crew location was suggested as the meeting place
and Rhonda agreed to check into this. Motion seconded by Tanja Johnston.
All agreed that this would be less confusing.
- Information Sharing
- Abilities Magazine has information about a “Access to
Entertainment Card” registration form to receive staff discounts.
- Consumer Conference planning meeting set for March 14
@ 1:15pm in Wetaskiwin at the PDD building. Planning meetings second
Mondays of the month.
- Surplus of Self Advocate Summit money – they are
looking for ideas on how to spend it. Please contact Lynne Gendron @
782-8492 if you have any ideas or questions.
- Attendance has dropped at LAIRD meetings and we want
to encourage community agencies both supported and not supported by PDD to
attend meetings. Memos will be sent out to encourage and remind people to
share and learn at LAIRD meetings. Will also contact CIRS to post meeting
dates and location separately on the website.

New Relax Crew on Orr Drive
Noon – 1:30pm
Meetings will
be held at the New Relax Crew every month until May. June meeting is
tentatively booked for McKenzie trails.
