Bev Heemeryck is the Community
Resource Manager responsible for LAIRD.
Clarification of LAIRD monies and
processes:
Learning initiative dollars.
This money is not fronted for LAIRD's use, but
expenses are invoiced to Bev
after the event/learning initiative. This is why
we partner with a legal entity,
such as CIRS, so that expenses can be fronted
and then reimbursement can take
place after the fact.
-There are some
specific criteria around the use of these dollars and Bev has made a commitment
to review this with her team and provide (Jason Keller) LAIRD with a copy.
There are two ways in which LAIRD may
use the Learning Initiative dollars:
1) Provide a yearlong learning plan
in proposal form to Bev and a contract will be drawn for the use of these
dollars throughout the year. Dollars will still not be fronted, however, and
invoice actuals after each event, which is identified in the plan, is completed.
2) Approve proposals being presented to us or plan
our own learning events adhoc and present them each to Bev as they occur for
approval based on criteria and then go ahead with the event, invoicing for
actuals after. Essentially, a contract for each event. Bev says this would not
be a problem.
**For both of these options, the
yearly expenditure cannot exceed $5000.
-History LAIRD did a yearly plan
for this money and tried to access people and opportunities that were existing.
Need to make a plan for this year’s budget amount of $5000. SEPTEMBER AGENDA
ADDITION.
