International Day for Persons with Disabilities:

9-11am - Crimson Star room at City Hall City of Red Deer hosting
coffee drop in.

11am-12noon - Crimson Star room City Hall local politicians a
proclamation from the mayor’s office.
i.
Scott Mac Dermott will be doing a power point
presentation about his experience as a Rotarian delivering wheelchairs in
Belize.
ii.
The Jewell will be speaking about their
experience, when Bond sustained a spinal cord injury and now lives his life as a
paraplegic.
iii.
A community quilt made of paper and developed
by Arts a la Carte will be our art project everyone is encouraged to
participate.

2-4pm - at The Millennium Center will be
i.
Marilyn Jewell, as part of Leadership Initiative in
2003 will present the power point presentation “Inclusion By Design”
ii.
Doug Manderville will tell his story about the
challenges and successes in living life as a paraplegic
iii.
Ann Faulk, Mark Davies, and their son Sam will tell
their story “Full of Tears and Triumphs”
This event has an extensive opportunity for
networking, as well as, offers any agencies a venue to display information about
the services provided.
