The membership will include individuals with developmental disabilities, family members, organizations, and agencies, government representatives guardians (both private and public), who provide support and services to individuals with disabilities within the LAIRD District area. Membership information forms will be completed and forwarded to the chair/co-chair to be reviewed and accepted at the next scheduled meeting by the members in attendance.


ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURES

Election of Executive Officers and Directors will occur in May.

Executive Officers and Directors have a two-year term in office.

Chair Person / Vice Chair
  • Sets up meetings
  • Runs / Chairs meetings
  • Books meeting space
  • Corresponds with Persons With Developmental Disabilities (PDD)
Treasurer / Vice Treasurer
  • Deals with contracts with PDD
  • Collects Funds
  • Collects invoices / bills
  • Pays invoices / bills
  • Reports Financial Statement at each monthly meeting
  • Handles Learning monies and requests
  • Handles Operating Budget monies and requests
Secretary / Vice Secretary
  • Prepares agendas for each monthly meeting
  • Posts each months meeting agendas on web site
  • Records minutes at each monthly meeting
  • Posts each months meeting minutes on web site
  • Provides agenda copies and previous meeting minutes at each meeting
  • Maintains membership contact list
Directors (six)
  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Gather information sharing items
  • Reports updates on activities information or groups
  • Provides feedback to agencies affiliation or others
