About Us
Purpose
The purpose of the Rosebud Community Inclusions Council is to be the voice for quality lifestyles in our community through sharing resources, experiences, promotion of community inclusion, and facilitating the removal of barriers for individuals and their families.
Principles
The Rosebud Community Inclusions Council is a gathering of people receiving services, their families, agency representatives, Alberta Family and Social Service representatives; advocates end other interested persons committed to the following beliefs:
- respecting differences.
- each person has a voice that needs to be heard.
- respecting confidentiality.
- planning, developing and evaluation of services must occur at a local community level where consumers reside and are provided services.
- service coordination and collaboration must be enhanced.
- planning and delivery of services must be care effective and cost effective.
- services must be developed and provided through the significant input off all concerned individuals including consumers and their representatives.
- being proactive and progressive.
Goals
The objectives of the Rosebud Community Inclusions Council are to;
- be a mechanism for providing a voice for persons who are receiving service.
- enhance and encourage community education and awareness.
- to advocate for community inclusion
- promote the collaboration, cooperation and joint ventures amongst stakeholders.
- communicate, coordinate and plan with other regional committees and structures.
- identify resources required to meet unmet needs.
- establish long term plans for community service delivery.
- to explain the allocation of new resources.
